My goal is to share my work as a senator with Canadians in order to foster an understanding about the role of the Senate and its 105 senators. I know that the Senate is somewhat of an unknown to many Canadians. Senators work for Canadians, so I want to help demystify the institution, and help people understand how it works and how it fits into the way our country is governed.

Read on for more information about the Senate’s work, what I have been up to in the Senate, and more. Make sure to follow me on social media for regular updates.

"Being able to represent Ontarians and Canadians in the Senate of Canada is a true honour and privilege.

Through my work in the Senate, I do my best to bring agricultural and rural issues to the forefront, while considering the effects on all Canadians."

Senator for Ontario
 Chair, Canadian Senators Group
